Up until now, Fragment Sync has centered around private access to files and folders. The latest version (v2.664), released on Friday, adds support for sharing a folder with other users running Fragment Sync on your local network or on the FragmentSync.Net service.

It’s interesting some of the places I see Fragment Sync pop up; case in point, MoMB or The Museum of Modern Betas, where I discovered a listing for Fragment Sync. Aside from the listing, somehow a google search for fragment sync gives MoMB as the top site, with fragmentsync.com taking the #2 spot!

Bluetooth file transfer was one of the earliest supported protocols in Fragment Sync and provided a powerful and practical way to push and pull content (typically, images) on and off of a cell phone.
